Dishcloth Dance: Inspired by washing up at one of the rehearsals.
Music: ?
Need plate centre stage! Walk on
"Oh no it's a dirty plate!" Lead round (T; tea towel, D;
dishcloth, W; washing up liquid, S; scrubbing brush) plate and pick up
Chorus - star with dish in middle
for 4, T cast out and dance round back into place for 4, star for 4, D
cast out etc. on last time S takes plate away to clean.
1st figure - hey. D goes into
middle and faces T, reel of 3, S comes back and all into star (same
order!)
Chorus - S first to cast out, W
ends up with dish - takes to wash
2nd figure - weaving. Start S T D.
Follow the scrubber and do 3 Jolly Sheepskins hey.
Chorus - W first to cast out, D
ends up with plate to wash
3rd figure - Lines. Face and lead
out (someone goes wrong way) and back, lead out other way and back into
star
Chorus - D first to cast out and T
ends up with plate to dry
4th figure - dosido & swing. W
& S swing, D circles around them
Chorus T cast out first. End of
chorus drop plate "Oh no a dirty plate!!!"
