Great Western Arms (border): A dance which was acquired from Mr David Morgan and adapted, in true diversity style.

Need and extra ½ A Music to get on

Lead on – start out in wide corners and come into….

1st figure (red arrows) - into the centre for 2, out to the opposite diagonal for 2, turn to face next corner on 1st beat (pause for 2) and move to next corner for 2. Repeat 4 times.

Kneel down sticking – right knee on floor, left knee at right angles! with hand on knee.

2nd figure (star) - into the centre for 2, 2 to hold sticks up, 4 to lock (2 to bring down & 2 to lock), n.b. don’t turn star until locked. right star for 6, 2 up, 2 to turn out and lock in a left star, left star to get back to place! 2. N.B. sticks straight out

Fighting sticking

3rd figure (diagonal hey) – 2 steps for corners into middle of line of four, 2 steps for middles to swap places, everyone 2 steps on spot, everyone 2 steps out. N.B. always face same direction. Repeat 4 times

Kneel down sticking

4th figure (zig zag hey) – into a line immediately after sticking for 2, zig zag hey going right first and lead off.
